Set in Maine (USA) in 1979, Norman and Ethel have spent 48 summers in their holiday cabin on Golden Pond. They get a surprise visit from their daughter, Chelsea, her fiancé and his son on their way to Europe. Chelsea asks her parents for a favour that ends up changing their summer plans
