Sussex Police, A restorative justice approach to hate crime, Church Walk

National Hate Crime Awareness Week aims to: “bring people together to stand in solidarity with those affected by hate crime, to remember those we have lost, and support those who need ongoing support.
Preventing hate crime where possible.
Engaging communities to report hate crime and work together.”

Sussex Police priorities for this week include but are not limited to:
o Provide information to encourage the public to report Hate Crime/Hate incidents and feel confident it matters.
o Raise awareness of the support available for victims of Hate Crime.
o Showcase good work, best practice and insights into the response to Hate Crime.
o Work with and champion the partnership approach to Hate Crime.
